Tradesman Series Pipes
My Tradesman Series Pipes are an effort to make higher end pipes affordable! These pipes are made of Plateaux Briar. This series will have decent to good grain patterns and smooth finishes, although a few partial rustications might creep in from time to time! These pipes are affordable through the use of pre-made Vulcanite stems. Using pre-made stems I can bring an excellent line of pipes to the smoker, with good quality and craftsmanship, and keep the prices low. I do, however, make a lot of changes to the stems. The stems are re-drilled to open the airway, thinned behind the button, the button reshaped for a more comfortable feel, and a Delrin tenon is used for added strength. Although the stems are pre-made, I still pay attention to the draw, which is free and open. At this time, this series will be crafted from Algerian Briar, which is somewhat lighter in weight than briar from other regions. Each pipe comes in its own protective pouch!
